| Designed by the famous aerodynamicist Paul Jaray the 'Rennlimousins' - racing saloons - of Adler appeared in 1936. The 1936 Le mans race was cancelled therefore these streamlined coupes made there first appearance at Le mans in 1937 in which three Adler Trumpf 'Rennlimousins' were entered. The factory had two 1700 c.c. 4-cylinder front-drive machines, race No. 33 for Peter Graff Orssich & Rudolf Sauerwein and Race No. 34 for Otto Löhr and Paul von Guilleaume. A third car No.35 (pictured left), finished in blue as distinct from the white larger capacity cars, was a 1500 c.c. model for Fritz Hutshke von Hanstein & Mme Anne-Cecile Rose-Itier. Orssich and Sauerwein finishing 6th and winning the two litre class, team-mates Löhr and von Guilleaume came 9th. The unfortunate blue car came in to demist due to sudden heavy rainstorms during the race and a mechanic mistakenly topped up the oil before replenishing was allowed, earning instant disqualification. The following year the works team offered two cars a 1700cc and 1500cc, the former coming 6th again with the same crew (Race No.28) and winning the Coupe Bienniale, the other 7th (Race No. 33) giving Löhr and von Guilleaume a victory in the 1500 c.c. class.
